UGC is one of the major actors in cinema in France. Through its digital media, the group aims to: - Offer its customers the best possible experience- To promote the films offered in its cinemas and events linked to its network (premieres, rebroadcasts of cult films, UGC labeled films, new theaters opening) - To retain its spectators- To promote its flagship offers and products (UGC Unlimited in particular).
BAM has carried out a technical redesign of the UGC Direct application, putting users at the heart of the development process and integrating their feedback from one sprint to the next with:
- user interviews
- a guerrilla test in the queues of UGC cinemas
- the implementation of analytics
BAM and UGC chose to use React Native to partially redesign the front of the app and integrate it into an existing back end. User paths for booking sessions and scoring, for example, have been redesigned in React Native. The result: a native user experience combined with code that is quick to deploy and easy to maintain. Some sections of the UGC mobile site have been integrated into the user journey in web view in order to accelerate developments.
Since BAM redeveloped the existing IOS and Android application in React Native, we've seen a marked improvement in our rating in the stores. The app is stable, and our customers are delighted with it - that's the main thing! It's been a few years since we started working together, and I'm continuing to be satisfied, since we'll soon be starting our next redesign.
